Angie Valentine

At 28 years, Angie is one of Charter Building Group’s longest-tenured team members. A Wilmington native, she began her career at Charter in her very first job and has since become an integral part of the company’s growth and success.

Throughout her time with the company, she has worn just about every hat you can imagine. She started as a receptionist and has worked in accounting, payroll, client liaison roles, estimating sales prices and client changes, coordinating with banks on draws, and handling all aspects of the financial side of the business. That hands-on experience across departments has given her a deep understanding of how everything connects, from the front office to the field.

As Controller, Angie focuses on keeping the financial side of the company organized, accurate, and running smoothly. She takes pride in making sure the details are handled properly so the team can focus on building quality homes for clients.

What she enjoys most about working at Charter is the small, family-oriented team environment. The team is not just made up of coworkers, but friends who feel like family. That kind of environment makes coming to work every day easy.

Outside of work, Angie enjoys reading and spending time with her family and her dog, Max.
