Cory Mullen

Cory is originally from Kure Beach and has been with Charter Building Group for five years. Construction has always been part of his life. His father was a general contractor, so he grew up around job sites and the building process.

He started out picking up trash around job sites, then moved into helping with framing and learning all aspects of the construction process. Over time, he earned his General Contractor license in 2018 and began taking on small jobs of his own. Eventually, he wanted to step into a larger role with more responsibility and manage bigger projects. That’s what led him to Charter, and the rest is history.

As a Project Manager, Cory loves starting a project and watching it grow from the ground up. There’s something rewarding about seeing all the pieces come together and bringing everything across the finish line. He takes pride in keeping projects organized and under control, making sure every detail is handled properly. At the end of the day, what matters most is seeing happy homeowners and knowing Charter delivered a quality home.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, especially visiting his hometown beach with his beautiful wife and two daughters. He also loves cheering on UNC sports and, when time allows, trying to catch a wave.
