Jill Ansley

Jill is originally from Monticello, Georgia, and joined Charter Building Group eight and a half years ago. After moving to Wilmington in 2013, she knew she wanted to shift from interior design focused on furnishings and remodeling into new construction design with a reputable builder. That transition led her to Charter in 2015, and it has been a wonderful fit ever since.

Jill graduated in 1981 with a BFA in Interior Design from the University of Georgia, and she has now worked in design for over 40 years while raising three children along the way. Her experience includes commercial interior design for country clubs, corporations, banks, and medical facilities, as well as residential design selections ranging from furniture and art to plumbing and lighting fixtures. She also spent several years as an artist, painting faux finishes, murals, and custom furnishings. Every stage of her career has shaped how she approaches design today.

She is most passionate about helping clients make decisions for their new home, because it truly is the most important place in their lives with family and friends. She especially loves working with color combinations and color theory, which still excites and amazes her.

What Jill values most about Charter is the leadership, collaboration, and flexibility. She appreciates being part of a team that strives to do the right thing, supports one another, and understands the balance of work and life.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time with her family, watching UGA football with her husband Vic, reading, and crafts. She and Vic have three wonderful children and six grandchildren who bring them so much joy.
